During this time of uncertainty and growing concern over the COVID-19 outbreak, we at Gemma Services have been closely monitoring reports from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As we navigate this unprecedented situation, our goals are to continue to serve the children, youth, and families who need us now more than ever, and to keep them and our employees safe.
Below is the status of shifts to our programs as of the date noted above. We will update our website with adjustments we make throughout this period. For most recent information, please click here.
As Governor Wolf has directed all schools in the Commonwealth to close, Martin Luther School on our Plymouth Meeting campus is currently closed. We continue to support these students and their families as best we can remotely. Our dedicated educators are developing distance learning plans that we will share with Martin Luther School families this week. Our Residential Treatment Programs in Rosemont and Plymouth Meeting continue to provide 24/7 essential care for children and youth. We are assessing how our Community Based Programs in Southwest Philadelphia and Mt. Airy can continue to provide support and assistance for children and families as possible. As quickly evolving external factors may continue to affect our services, we will share information with you as promptly as we can.
Our highest priority is the health and well-being of those we serve, as well as of our incredibly dedicated and caring team at Gemma Services. Since public health officials have advised social distancing, we presently are restricting visitors to our Plymouth Meeting and Rosemont campuses. Should you have any questions, please contact the Gemma staff member with whom you work.
Gemma Services’ guiding vision is for all children, youth, and families to feel valued and have the tools to reach their highest potential. That vision continues to guide us as we maneuver through these difficult days and endeavor to continue to provide essential services throughout this time of uncertainty. As we learn of resources that can help children and families during this difficult time, we are sharing those directly with families, on our website, and across our social media channels as well. Thank you for caring about Gemma Services and the precious children and youth in our care. Should you have any questions, please contact [email protected].
